Since October 14, 2000, the SIRIUS Observatory has been operating with its associated planetarium open to the public. The observatory is also used for school projects and by members of the team for their own, primarily photographic activities at the telescope.
Over the past 25 years, this Baader dome has simply withstood all the adversities of Alpine weather without complaint – bravo!The restoration of the door relief, which became necessary in 2024, has confirmed the extremely positive experiences we have had with this dome and with Baader – many thanks!
