Astronomische Gesellschaft Zürcher Oberland

We were very satisfied with the service. The construction went smoothly – once again, a big thank you to the entire team. Since its assembly, the dome has been functioning perfectly for public observations and internal projects of the club's members..

Note from Baader Planetarium GmbH:

At this location, the manually operated 2.1m Baader split dome shown below stood for over 30 years. It was donated to the Astronomical Society of Zürcher Oberland by the previous owner, Mr Ernst Blättler (✝).
However, there was soon a desire to operate a modern dome with the latest technology, which could be remotely operated by the club members. Therefore, the over 30-year-old dome was dismantled from this location and passed on to an amateur astronomer who has lovingly modernized it, aiming to soon achieve remote operation as well.
